Mid-Stream Upgrade, On-Time Go-Live: The ARDB Cambodia Transformation Story
Geneva, Switzerland, January 2026
ITSS proudly announces the successful Phase I go-live of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), Cambodia, on Temenos Transact R24 (T24/TAFJ) with complete data migration, achieved on January 19, 2026. This milestone marks a major advancement in ARDB’s core banking modernization journey and reinforces ITSS’s commitment to delivering resilient, future-ready banking ecosystems.
The transformation program, which commenced in February 2024, began with extensive workshops and requirements gathering. Originally planned on R23, the project was strategically upgraded mid-stream to R24—demonstrating technical agility, strong governance, and a shared commitment to long-term value.
Phase I covered implementation of key core banking modules including Customer, Accounts, Arrangement Architecture (AA), Limits, Collateral, and Funds Transfer, alongside advanced components such as Temenos Payment Hub (TPH) and Temenos Data Hub (TDH). The scope also included 10+ critical interfaces, IFRS-compliant financial reporting, and regulatory reporting aligned with the National Bank of Cambodia.
Overcoming Challenges Through Collaboration and Expertise
The project faced a six-month delay during requirement finalization and early testing phases. However, through disciplined recovery planning, strong stakeholder collaboration, and accelerated execution during UAT, the joint ITSS–ARDB team achieved successful go-live in January 2026.
A key complexity was the mid-project transition from R23 to R24. This required rapid environment reconfiguration, regression validation, and stabilization across all modules and integrations. Parallelly, data migration was executed with precision—ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and operational continuity from legacy systems to the new core platform.
Interface delivery, including payment integrations and regional connectivity, demanded coordinated technical execution across multiple workstreams. Despite the scale and interdependencies, the team maintained high quality standards, zero environment-related disruptions, and seamless deployment into production.
Leadership Perspectives
The ITSS Project Manager commented:
“This Phase I go-live represents more than a system upgrade — it reflects resilience, collaboration, and a shared vision. From navigating a version upgrade mid-project to accelerating through testing and stabilization, the team demonstrated extraordinary ownership and commitment. We are proud to support ARDB in building a scalable and future-ready banking foundation.”
A spokesperson from ARDB added:
“The successful implementation of Temenos T24 R24 is a significant milestone in our modernization roadmap. Despite challenges along the journey, the collective determination and professionalism of the teams ensured a smooth transition with full data integrity. This platform positions us strongly for enhanced operational efficiency and improved customer service delivery.”
A Foundation for the Future
With Phase I successfully completed, Phase II has already commenced, introducing additional integrations and expanded functionalities to further strengthen ARDB’s digital capabilities.
This achievement highlights ITSS’s proven expertise in delivering complex core banking transformations—including large-scale data migration, regulatory compliance enablement, and multi-interface integrations—while maintaining operational continuity.
The ARDB go-live sets a new benchmark for banking modernization in Cambodia and reinforces ITSS’s role as a trusted global partner in delivering intelligent, scalable, and future-ready banking solutions.
